Biography

West Valley Junior College: Spent the last two seasons at West Valley Junior College in Saratoga, CA under head coach Mike Perez...named a first team all-coast conference selection in 2003 after hitting .400 with nine homeruns...won the award again in 2004 after posting a .350 batting average along with eight roundtrippers.

 

Semi-Pro: Played two seasons as a pitcher and second baseman under coach Steve Espinoza for the Palo Alto Oaks Semi-Pro club from 2004-05...two-time batting leader...finished the 2005 campaign as the team’s earned run average leader...helped guide the Oaks to back-to back league championships in 2004-05 and a 2005 California State Regional championship.

 

High School: Four-year letterwinner and standout for coach Tim Thompson at Henry Gunn High School in Palo Alto, CA...a first team all-league selection from 1998-2002...honored as team most valuable player as a junior and senior...holds school records for career pitching wins and lowest single-season earned run average...helped guide the Titans to a Santa Clara league championship in 2000...member of a 2000 Titan club that finished the year ranked fifth in division three in the state of California.
