2015 (Redshirt Junior): Appeared in three games and did not record a decision … Struck out three batters and walked two in three innings pitched … Allowed just one earned run … Tossed a perfect inning with two strikeouts in UNCG’s 10-0 victory over North Carolina A&T (March 24).

2014 (Junior): Appeared in three contests (all starts) … Started games against UNC Asheville (Feb. 19), Georgetown (March 2) and at Georgia Tech (Feb. 23) … Racked up eight strikeouts in 8.1 innings pitched … Struck out two batters in two scoreless innings against UNC Asheville.

2013 (Sophomore): Made 12 appearances, which were all starts, as he developed into UNCG’s Saturday starter … Led all Spartan pitchers who made at least one start with a 3.69 earned run average – good for ninth in the Southern Conference … hurled a team second-most 68.1 innings and tallied 58 strikeouts … held opposing batters to a .240 average … of the 38 runs he allowed, only 28 were earned … tied for the SoCon lead in fewest doubles allowed (six) … combined on one of UNCG’s two shutouts as he threw seven innings and allowed just three hits in a 9-0 victory over Albany (March 2) … tallied a career-high seven strikeouts twice - against Army (Feb. 17) and at College of Charleston (April 7) … posted multiple strikeouts in all 12 appearances … gave up just four home runs the entire season … was the starter and winning pitcher in the series finale against No. 22 Georgia Southern, giving up just two earned runs while scattering five hits and striking out four as the Spartans clinched the series with a 10-6 victory … threw over 100 pitches in seven outings … turned in a quality start in six of eight appearances to begin the season.

2012 (Freshman): Appeared in 20 games and made six starts … threw a total of 49.2 innings while striking out 38 batters – the second most of any Spartan pitcher … limited batters to a .234 average with runners on base … threw one perfect inning in the season opener against Delaware State (2/17), striking out two … posted a season-high four strikeouts in games at Duke (4/10) and at home against College of Charleston (5/19) … posted his first collegiate victory in a 12-9 victory at Georgia Southern (3/17).

High School: Earned four varsity letters at Chapel Hill High School playing for coach Randy Trumbower … earned all-conference honors as a pitcher his senior season and as a position player his junior year … earned team MVP award as a junior and senior … earned all-region honors as a senior … helped lead his team to back-to-back conference championships as a junior and senior.

Personal: Lee M. Gilliam … born Nov. 1, 1992 in Chapel Hill, N.C .… son of Robert and Virginia Gilliam … has an older brother, Rob, who played at UNCG and now plays in the Washington Nationals organization … majoring in psychology and political science.
