2008: Saw action as a pinch hitter in five games as a true freshman...had an at-bat against Connecticut (2/29), Princeton (3/17), Albany (3/26) and High Point (5/6).

 

High School: 2007 graduate of North Forsyth High School in Winston-Salem, NC... four-year letterwinner in baseball for coach Jamie Lowe... as an infielder for the Vikings he was selected to the all-county, all-region, and all-conference teams his junior year... appeared in the 2006 State Games... the Vikings finished the season as the state runner-up following a North Carolina state-record 30-game win streak... the Vikings were ranked as high as 14th nationally and held the No. 1 state rank... also played one year as a point guard for the basketball team, in which he was given the team’s Hustle Award.

 

Personal: Michael Steven Wall... born July 2, 1989 in Rural Hall, NC... son of Steve and Janet Wall of Rural Hall, NC... has a 26-year-old brother, Brandon... also recruited by Appalachian State, High Point University, and UNC Asheville... majoring in communication studies at UNCG.
