High School: Played four seasons as a catcher and outfielder for coach Al McCulloch at Herndon High School ... earned numerous honors following his senior season, including being named district player of the year and all-state ... was also named all-district and all-region ... garnered all-metro and all-Gameday Magazine honors following his final season as well ... earned team MVP honors as a senior after hitting a school record .528 to break the single season record ... was also a standout on the football field as a running back and linebacker for four seasons ... was named all-district and all-Gameday Magazine following his senior season ... was also named to the all-star game and team MVP his final year ... earned academic athlete honors all four years.
