2021-22 (Graduate Senior)
Played in 31 games and made 30 starts … Named to the All-Southern Conference Third Team by the media … Led UNCG in scoring (12.5 points per game) and rebounding (6.3) … Scored in double figures 22 times … Tied a career high with 28 points in season-opening win over North Carolina A&T on Nov. 9 … Scored 25 points against ETSU on Jan. 26 … Overall, he scored at least 20 points six times, including 21 in final collegiate contest against Boston on March 20 … He grabbed double-digit rebounds in five games: Coppin State (12), Green Bay (10), UMass (12), FIU (12), and Chattanooga (10) … He was fourth in the SoCon in 3-point field goal percentage (42.1), ninth in rebounding (6.3), and 11th in 3-pointers made per game (2.1) … Made a season-best five 3-pointers against North Carolina A&T on Nov. 9, ETSU on Jan. 26, and Boston on March 20 … Scored 1,500th career collegiate point against Furman on Feb. 5 … Helped UNCG participate in the postseason CBI.


Prior to UNCG
A 6-4 inch wing guard, Buckingham is majoring in African-American studies. He played the last two years at Cal State-Bakersfield. During the 2020-21 season, he played in all 26 games for the Roadrunners. During the 2020-21 campaign, he aanked in the top five on the team in points (184), rebounds (112), assists (33), and minutes played (514). He scored a season-high 20 points to go with eight rebounds at Pepperdine on Dec. 23. Buckingham tallied double-digit scoring efforts in nine games. 

He also competed for the University of Richmond for two seasons where he earned Atlantic-10 Rookie of the Year in 2016-17 after averaging 9.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game as a freshman. He scored 12.2 points per game as a sophomore while adding team-high 7.0 rebounds per game. Buckingham was second on team in assists (103) and steals (31) in 2017-18. 

A 2016 graduate of Henrico High School in Henrico County, Va., he helped the Warriors win state championships in 2013 and 2015. He was named the state 5A Player of the Year and All-Metro Player of the Year during 2014-15 season. Buckingham finished his career with 1,915 points.
