Started all 14 matches … Had a career-high 18 points on a career-best seven goals and four assists … Named the SoCon Tournament's Most Outstanding Player after tallying the game-winning goal in the championship game against Belmont in the 80th minute … Austmann was a SoCon Second Team selection and to the United Soccer Coaches’ South All-Region Third Team … Named SoCon Player of the Week on March 9 … Scored goals in consecutive regular-season contests against Elon and Longwood … Had goals in three straight conference matches against Furman, VMI, and Belmont. He scored a penalty kick goal with two seconds remaining to help the Spartans force overtime against Belmont on March 27 … Contributed a goal and an assist in a 4-0 win over VMI on March 23 and a 3-2 loss to Omaha in the NCAA Tournament on April 29 … Was 12th nationally in game-winning goals (three) and was tied for 20th in points … Played 1,163 minutes and had 38 shots this season … He helped UNCG win the Southern Conference Tournament championship, and make its first appearance in the NCAA Tournament in over a decade … In addition, the Spartans received votes in the final United Soccer Coaches poll of the 2021 spring season … UNCG finished with a 9-3-2 record and a .714 winning percentage, the best since 2005 (.717) … Played 24 minutes against Belmont in the SoCon championship match and 33 minutes against Omaha in the NCAA Tournament.
