Esse played for South Carolina Surf Girls Academy between 2020 and 2022 where she was a state and national qualifier in 2021 ... she was named co-captain and club player representative and was selected for the Girls Academy talent ID in 2022 ... Esse later played for South Carolina ECNL in 2022-2023 where she was a national qualifier in 2022 ... in the classroom she was a candidate for Seals of Distinction and was top 13% of her graduating class.
