Storylines
• UNCG closes out the weekend road swing through Charleston Saturday night against The Citadel. The Bulldogs won the first meeting back in December, 57-50, at Fleming Gym. A 10-2 run to open the second half gave them control and helped them snap an eight-game losing skid against the Spartans. UNCG committed just eight turnovers (still a season-low), but shot 29.7 percent from the floor. UNCG still leads the all-time series, 9-6.
• UNCG is playing five games in 10 days right now, the last three of which are on the road. The Spartans will have to do that again next week, beginning with their game against Davidson at the Greensboro Coliseum.

• UNCG has used 12 different starting line-ups in 19 games this season. The 12th different lineup debuted on Thursday night when walk-on Sean Spooner was rewarded with a start. (Spooner had played 14 minutes in the second half at Furman on Monday). All 10 scholarship players on the active roster have started at multiple games thus far and none have started every game. All 10 are averaging double figure minutes, as well from Ben Stywall's 32.0 per game down to Montel Smith's 14.9 per contest.
• Ben Stywall leads the Southern Conference in double-doubles with seven this season, five of them in conference play. Stywall is averaging a league-best 10.7 rebounds per game in conference play this season (two rebounds more per game than any other player). He has 20 double-digit rebound games in his career, 10 of them this season. In each of the last two contests, the Charlotte, NC native has 14 rebounds each (season-high and one shy of a career-high).
• UNCG freshman Damian Eargle is averaging 13.2 ppg in SoCon play. He had 22 points and a season-high five blocks in Thursday's game at College of Charleston, his second 20-point game this season. He leads the conference with 33 blocked shots this season and now has at least one block in 11 of the last 12 games.
• Mikko Koivisto has made 96 of his last 108 at the foul line going back to the latter half of his freshman season and is now 120-141 from the line for his career (85.1%). He leads the SoCon in free throw percentage this season at 86.8% (46 of 53) and is 16th in the nation (NCAA stats -- through Sunday's games).
• Ben Stywall became the ninth player in school history to record 500 career rebounds in the Georgia Southern game. He has had 10 games with double-digit rebounds already this season, including seven double-doubles (both are best in the SoCon). Stywall is second in the SoCon in rebounding at 9.3 per contest. He is seventh in school history in career rebounds with 564 entering today.
