4/8/2026 1:04:00 PM

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's basketball Head Coach Jerod Haase announced on Wednesday the hiring of three members of his staff.

Jaylen Stowe - Assistant Coach
Jaylen Stowe most recently comes to UNCG after two years at Cincinnati as an assistant coach/director of player development under former Spartan Head Coach Wes Miller.

"Jaylen has been preparing for an opportunity to expand his role on a staff," remarked Coach Haase. "He brings great experience as a player and a coach and is a rising star in the profession."

Before rejoining the Bearcats, Stowe was an assistant coach/director of recruiting at High Point during the 2023-24 season under Head Coach Alan Huss, when the Panthers went 27-9 overall and 13-3 in the Big South. High Point was crowned the Big South Regular Season Champions that year. They also received the program's first invite to the 2024 College Basketball Invitational.

Stowe was a graduate assistant with Coach Miller from 2021-23 and before then he was with the Spartans during the shortened 2020-21 COVID-19 season also as a graduate assistant.

As a player, Stowe competed at Mercer University, where he was a four-year member of the basketball program. He played in 114 games with the Bears and had a season-high 10.5 points and 4.8 rebounds per game his senior season. He later gained professional experience with the Richmond Elite in the ABA following his collegiate career.

Stowe earned his Bachelor of Arts in media studies from Mercer in 2019 and a Master of Science in human resources from the Cincinnati in 2023.

Jack Frost III – Assistant Coach
Jack Frost, who brings more than a decade of experience in collegiate basketball, has been named assistant coach for the Spartans.

"Jack and I have worked together before and he has a tremendous work ethic, great attention to detail, and strong grasp of the technical side of the game," stated Coach Haase. "He will be a valuable asset for me and the program."

Frost joins UNCG after serving as director of scouting at LSU during the 2025–26 campaign under then-head coach Matt McMahon. In that role, he led opponent preparation efforts, providing detailed scouting reports and coordinating video analysis for both staff and players.

Prior to his time at LSU, Frost was director of operations at the University of Denver, following five seasons with the Stanford men's basketball program. His tenure at Stanford included roles as program assistant and video coordinator (2019–21), special assistant to the head coach (2021–23) and assistant coach during the 2023–24 season.

As an assistant coach at Stanford, Frost oversaw baseline out-of-bounds strategy and served as the program's special teams coordinator. Under his direction, Stanford ranked as high as fourth nationally in out-of-bounds offense, averaging 1.1 points per possession, while limiting opponents to 0.74 points per possession in Pac-12 play. He also played a key role in the recruitment and development of two Pac-12 Most Improved Players of the Year and contributed to four consecutive Pac-12 Scholar-Athletes of the Year.

Frost began his collegiate coaching career at Milligan University, where he spent three seasons (2016–19) as an assistant coach and junior varsity head coach. He led player development, scouting, recruiting, scheduling and game management responsibilities, and developed an analytical program that generated postgame individual and lineup plus-minus reports.

While completing his master's degree in accounting at North Carolina, Frost served as an assistant coach for the Tar Heels' junior varsity team under then-head coach Hubert Davis. In that role, he contributed to scouting preparation and player development.
A native of Iselin, New Jersey, Frost earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from North Carolina in 2013, followed by a master's degree in accounting in 2014.

Frost and his wife, Laura, reside in Greensboro.

John Quam – Assistant Coach/Director of Operations
John Quam arrives at UNCG with a background in both analytics and coaching. Most recently, he was a data analyst for HD Intelligence providing data-driven insights to more than 30 NCAA programs, by translating advanced metrics into actionable strategies.

"John has a background that will complement the staff's abilities in a variety of ways," said Coach Haase. "He has a strong grasp on data and analytics and sees the game in a way that will be valuable for our program."

Quam began his coaching career at Malone University, where he was an assistant men's basketball coach from 2023-25. During the 2024-25 season, the team secured a Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship and earned an NCAA Tournament appearance. While at Malone, Quam was chosen to be part of the TopConnect Leadership Academy as one of the 21 top young college basketball coaches in the country.

Prior to Malone, Quam was a student manager at Wisconsin, contributing to the 2021-22 Big 10 Regular Season Championship team and a 2022-23 NIT semi-finalist squad. In that role, he helped with program operations, recruiting, video and game operations.

Quam earned a Bachelor of Science in both statistics and data science from Wisconsin in 2023 and completed his Master of Business Administration in business and data analytics from Malone in 2025.
