In the first half, Furman scored two goals to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.

In the 39th minute, the Paladins made it 2-0 after DeVita received a pretty long ball from Alyssa Althoff and finished inside the box.

Junior Chesney White (Franklin, Tenn./Franklin) led the team with three shots, including a chance inside the box but Furman keeper Rose Hull made the save.

In the 33rd minute, off a corner kick senior Ashley Stokes (Cary, N.C./Green Hope) came charging in with a header that hit the crossbar coming just short of a goal.

In the second half, Furman added another goal from DeVita, her second of the game and 11th of the season, pushing the Paladins lead to 3-0 in the 67th minute.

In the 71st minute, UNCG cut the lead to 3-1 after White spun away from the defense and fired a shot into the lower left corner for her 15th of the season. White is now tied for the fifth best in school history and has scored the most goals in 14 years.

The Paladins answered quickly two minutes later as India Robinson scored off a rebound from Carlie Couch to make the final score 4-1.
