HOW IT HAPPENED
USF was quick to score in the game with Gentian Fetaj making a pass from midfield down to Hedda Ornberg. Ornberg shot the ball into the bottom right of the goal just outside the six-yard box for a 1-0 lead in the first minute of the contest. The Spartans had a couple good looks in the 23rd minute with two consecutive shots from Rachel Poplin and Ava Kiss.
