The Spartans are 7-8-3 overall and 5-2-1 in the Southern Conference entering the final game of the SoCon season. Fans can watch live on the SoCon Digital Network with Parker Southern on the call.

UNCG is coming off a 2-0 week last week where the Spartans earned a pair of shutouts against Mercer (Oct. 16) and The Citadel (Oct. 18). UNCG has shutout its opponents in three of its last four matches.

VMI is 2-6 in the SoCon and coming off a 0-0 double overtime tie with Delaware State. The Keydets most recent SoCon game was a 2-0 loss to Mercer at home (Oct. 18). Coincidentally, Mercer and The Citadel have been the most recent SoCon games for each of Sunday's squads.

The Spartans are led by White, who has a team-best five goals and two assists this season for 12 points. Prillaman is second on the team in goals this season with four. She adds an assist to be tied for second in points this season with Forbes who has nine off three goals and three assists.

Defensively, UNCG has been sturdy during the second half of the season, tallying five of the Spartans seven shutouts since conference play began September 25. Chloe Buehler (Perrysburg, Ohio/Penn State) has made 88 saves in 1,680 minutes in goal for the Spartans. She has not allowed a goal since October 11, in a 1-0 loss at Samford.

VMI's offense is led by senior Sydnie Bligh who has six goals and four asssits for a team-high 16 points this season. Olivia Cotton has five goals while Blake Cashin and Kristen Whitehurst each have four goals apiece. However, the Keydets have not scored a goal in its last 241 minutes on the pitch. Additionally, VMI was shutout in its first four games of the SoCon season and has only recorded one win in conference play without allowing a goal.

Sunday's match marks just the second time in program history the two teams meet. Last season, the Spartans defeated VMI 4-1 in Lexington, Va.
