Women's Soccer Reschedules Match Versus Wofford for Monday Night

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNCG women's soccer team (3-7-3) is set to travel to Spartanburg, S.C., to take on Wofford (2-4-3) Monday night. Due to the inclement weather that took place through the area over the weekend, the Southern Conference match originally scheduled for Sunday afternoon has been rescheduled for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff at Snyder Field.

Live video will be available on the SoCon Digital Network. Fans can also follow the game via live stats with links though uncgspartans.com.

Monday's matchup will mark the 24th meeting between the two teams in program history. UNCG is unbeaten against the Terriers, leading the all-time series 20-0-3. All three ties have come in the last five years as UNCG has gone 2-0-3 since 2011.

In last season's meeting, the Spartans defeated Wofford 2-1. Candice Forbes (Pleasant Garden, N.C./Southeast Guilford), UNCG's current leader in goals and points, scored one of the Spartans goals in the home victory on October 26, 2014.

Forbes leads UNCG with three goals and two assists for a team-high seven points this season. Chesney White (Franklin, Tenn./Franklin) and Diarra Simmons (Toronto, Canada/Dayton) both have a pair of goals while four other Spartans have found the back of the net this season.

Chloe Buehler (Perrysburg, Ohio/Penn State) continues to have a strong presence in goal for UNCG playing all 1244 minutes between the pipes with a 1.74 goals against average in 13 games this season. Additionally, Buehler has a 0.74 GAA against SoCon opponents.

Wofford is led by Mary Beth Bleekrode who has three goals and one assist for a team-best seven points this season. Hayley Younginer is the only other Terrier to find the back of the goal multiple times with a pair of goals for four points while four other members of the Wofford team have each tallied one goal.

Mayson Liner has started the last two games for the Terriers in goal. She has made 11 saves and has allowed just two goals in 249 minutes this season.

Wofford is coming off a 1-0 victory over VMI Friday night. Both the Spartans and Terriers are 1-1-1 in SoCon action.
