Box Score GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNCG women's soccer team fell to defending national champion No. 2 Florida State 6-0 Thursday night in front 2,065 fans at the UNCG Soccer Stadium. It was the second-largest crowd in program history and the largest since the Spartans hosted second-ranked UNC-Chapel Hill in 2007 in front of a crowd of 2,844. Michaela Hahn tallied her second goal of 2015 when she fired a shot from 30-yards out into the top corner past Buehler.
The Spartans biggest opportunity of the half came when Chesney White (Franklin, Tenn./Franklin) challenged FSU's last defender one-on-one on a semi-breakaway, but was stopped by Cassie Miller in goal.
Kaycie Tillman scored with 32 seconds remaining in the half after Cheyna Williams sent a cross to her just six-yards out. The Seminoles held a 2-0 advantage at the break out-shooting UNCG 14-4 while edging the Spartans 4-0 in corner kicks. Both goalkeepers made a pair of saves in the opening frame.
Florida State tallied its third goal when Dallas Dorosy found the back for her first goal of the season on a header from 10-yards out when Olivia Bergau sent a cross her way in the 68th minute. The Seminoles added three more goals before the final horn sounded to complete their fifth shutout of the season.
FSU had a 7-0 advantage in corners while firing off 24 shots to UNCG's five. Buehler made four saves in the loss and White led the way with two shots.
