GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG track and field wrapped up its stay in the Palmetto State, with the men's team competing at the Winthrop Adidas Invitational in Rock Hill and the women's team taking part in the Weems-Baskin Invitational in Columbia.
Jeffery Beane (Asheboro, N.C./Asheboro) was the runner up in the 110 meter hurdles, finishing in 15.19, while Dakarai Shipp (Raleigh, N.C./Millbrook) took fourth in the developmental 800 meters after posting a time of 2:02.48.
In the developmental 1,500 meters, Patrick O'Grady (Roswell, Ga./Blessed Trinity) snagged third in 4:08.75, followed immediately by David Guthrie (Fayetteville, N.C./South View), who finished in 4:11.61.
William Sandin (Raleigh, N.C./Broughton) took eighth in the 1,500 meters in 4:05.88. Alex Roy (Clayton, N.C./Broughton) placed 13th (4:09.86), while Brandon King (Burnsville, N.C./Mitchell) finished in 21st place (4:17.37).
For the women, Kelsey Barrett (Huntsville, Ala./Buckhorn) finished 23rd in the 1,500 meters with a time of 5:03.96, while Sarah DeSantis (Hope Milles, N.C./South View) placed 31st in 5:19.30.
