GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro men's basketball will play the second of back-to-back home games on Monday night when the Spartans host Prairie View A&M at the Greensboro Coliseum.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the game will be streamed on ESPN+.
Five Facts To Know
--The Spartans will be seeking a 4-1 start for the second straight season. UNCG opened the season across town by defeating North Carolina A&T along with victories over UNCW and Johnson & Wales. The Spartans' lone loss this year came at the hands of No. 23 LSU.
--Senior guard Francis Alonso on Friday night set a new program record for three pointers made, as the Malaga, Spain, native hit his 310th career three-point field goal early in the second half. In the process, Alonso surpassed UNCG Hall of Famer Scott Hartzell and set the record in six less games.
--Through Saturday's action, sophomore guard Isaiah Miller is tied for 12th in the country for steals per game at 3.25. Miller has already recorded four steals in two different games this season (North Carolina A&T and Johnson & Wales).
--Known for its defensive prowess in recent years, UNCG has played a slightly different style of play through four games this year as the Spartans are averaging 88 points per contest. Last year's Southern Conference-winning squad averaged 73.2 points per game.
--The Prairie View A&M Panthers will enter the Greensboro Coliseum with a 1-3 record. Prairie View began the season with a victory over Santa Clara but has since lost its last three games against Baylor, UTRGV and Lamar.
The Spartans In 2018
UNCG (3-1) is off to another strong start with its three victories coming against three in-state schools. Last week, the Spartans won their two games – against UNCW and Johnson & Wales – by a combined 69 points.
Through four games, Alonso has been an offensive forced as he's reached the 20-point mark three times including a season-high 26 points against Johnson & Wales. He's one of three UNCG players averaging at least 14 points per contest.
Forwards James Dickey and Kyrin Galloway have led the frontcourt for the Spartans, as the juniors have combined to collect 47 rebounds and 17 blocks.

Monday evening's game will mark the first meeting between the two schools.
Upcoming For The Spartans
The Spartans will hit the road for their next two games, facing Delaware and Louisiana Tech this Friday and Saturday in Newark, Del. The two games are part of the Delaware Invitational along with last Friday's game against Johnson & Wales and next Tuesday's tilt with Greensboro College.
