Women's Soccer Athletes Ferrantino & Tucker Earn All-Tournament Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. - UNCG women's soccer has two players named to this year's Southern Conference All-Tournament team, with senior defender Marissa Ferrantino and junior midfielder Kaley Tucker both receiving postseason accolades. The Spartans reached the conference semifinals for a third straight season this past week, after defeating Chattanooga in the quarterfinal, closing out the season with a 10-8-2 record overall.

2019 SoCon All-Tournament Team
Senior | Defense | Woodbridge, Va.
• Played all 200 minutes of the Spartans' two SoCon tournament matches
• Scored the deciding penalty in UNCG's shootout victory over UTC in the quarterfinals
• Started all 20 of the Spartans' matches in 2019, finishing with a single assist
• Helped the Spartans to six clean sheets during the 2019 campaign
• Appeared in 82 matches for UNCG over her four-year career, starting all but two of those contests

Kaley Tucker

2019 SoCon All-Tournament Team
R-Junior | Midfield | Littleton, Colo.
• Played all 200 minutes of the Spartans' two SoCon tournament matches
• Scored a penalty in UNCG's shootout victory over Chattanooga
• Earned Second Team All-SoCon honors, recording six points over the course of the year
• Started all 20 of the Spartans' matches in 2019, playing a team-high 1,689 minutes
• Finishes her UNCG career with 21 points on eight goals and five assists
