From the Coaches' Box/Michael Coll, Head Women's Soccer Coach
On the Game
"The stats tell everything. We completed the proceedings from the first second to the last. Wofford got two chances and took those two really well. We dominated that match. I can't fault our players at all for their effort. The number of shots and corners we had were off the charts and we hit a couple of crossbars where the goalkeeper completely didn't move. Soccer is a cruel sport sometimes and tonight we saw it at its' cruelest."
On the number of shots
"They are playing with a lot of belief right now in the attacking third of the field and their stats are starting to show that. They are very dangerous with creating goal scoring opportunities. It didn't really go our way tonight, but we aren't going to lose confidence, we are going to get right back up and get after the next team on Sunday."
On Woods' performance the past four games
"She's had a real rich vein of form the last four matches. I thought she should have scored more than one tonight and she probably thinks the same. She didn't get her foot on a couple, that she would have buried any other day. But that's the game, sometimes it goes exactly the way you want it to go and sometimes you are splitting hairs."
On to Furman
"It is going to be another tough match. They are a proud team. Wofford beat them there, 3-2. We know we aren't going to get anything easy. They are the reigning Conference Champions and until another team lifts the trophy in the middle of November, Furman is still the top dog."

Pink Game
On Friday, October 1, the Spartans hosted VMI and sported bright pink socks and recognized and remembered those who have passed, are currently battling, and who are in remission from cancer.
