GREENSBORO, N.C. – A six-foot guard,
Dante Treacy comes to UNCG from Robert Morris. He will major in economics. He was named the 2020 Northeast Conference Tournament MVP and earned a spot on the All-Northeast Conference Tournament Team.
During the 2019-20 season, Treacy led the Colonials in assists (153) and steals (44). He was second in the Northeast Conference (NEC) in assists per game (4.50), third in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.25), and eighth in steals (1.29 per game). He scored in double figures 14 times.
Treacy enjoyed a decorated career at Central Florida Christian Academy where he departed as its all-time leading scorer (1,808 points). He led CFCA to state finals for the first time in 2017-18 while averaging 15.1 points, 8.5 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.1 steals. He was named the 2018 Florida Association of Basketball Coaches 2A Player of the Year.
Treacy was named to the All-Orlando Sentinel Team (2016, 2017, 2018) and he is a three-time FABC All-State First Team (2016, 2017, 2018) selection as well as a four-time All-District honoree and was a three-time district MVP.
