Final Word
UNCG head coach Trina Patterson
"We're making strides, we're getting better offensively. That is one of the keys. We shot 55-percent and we outrebounded them. But what we haven't improved is our turnovers and so we must focus on that. We had really good play from the bench, but teams continue to press us."
Patterson on who came in strong
"I really liked play from Boyd, who came in. Brown came in and did well. Powell, who had her second start of her career, had eight points, shot 50-percent and we had really good play."
Patterson on College of Charleston and key takeaways
"College of Charleston is a high-scoring team. We have to get better at handling pressure, and we will. We are going to keep moving the needle. We are preparing our young players. We have three freshmen starting, Nasia, Nia, Isys. It is a lot of encouragement to see the success so early. Sometimes you do well but you don't win. We played well, but we just have to protect the ball to get the win."
