GREENSBORO, N.C. -- UNCG takes a four-game winning streak on the road for its men's soccer Southern Conference opener at Mercer at 2 p.m. Saturday in Macon, Ga.
The Spartans (4-1 overall) have given up just four goals in five games (0.80 per game) so far this season, and they've posted a pair of shutouts during their winning streak.
Fernando Garcia, a junior forward from Charlotte, leads UNCG with three goals so far this season.
Theo Collomb, a freshman from France, has two goals and two assists with points in three of the four victories.
Mani Austmann, a sophomore from Iceland, has two goals and an assist for the Spartans, and he has scored in each of the last two games.

Myson Darden were named the SoCon Player and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively this past Tuesday.
In all, UNCG has outshot the competition 73-33 so far.

Niclas Wild enjoyed a clean sheet in his collegiate debut against Elon. Wild, a freshman from Germany, is 2-0 with 0.50 GAA.

Dylan Gaither, a sophomore midfielder, leads the Bears with three goals and an assist. Junior forward Dawson Gideon has two goals and an assist.
