GREENSBORO, N.C. – After escaping by the hair on its chinny-chin-chin with three huge points in its dramatic rally this past Saturday over Belmont, the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's soccer team turns its attention to Wofford in a key Southern Conference road match Tuesday.

UNCG enters the final week of the regular season knowing that if it handles business, it will open the first round of the Southern Conference tournament at home. There are scenarios for a home game should the Spartans sputter this week too, but that's not the focus.

The only focus is Wofford. Though the Terriers are winless this season, they are still a dangerous opponent because they are the next team for the Spartans, who will be looking to avoid a letdown.

The last time the Spartans took a road trip, they defeated VMI, 4-0. UNCG has earned at least one point in its previous two conference road contests. The Spartans are 25-7 overall against Wofford and have won three of the last four meetings.

UNCG's offense has been powered most of this season by the trio of Mani Austmann, Theo Collomb, and Fernando Garcia. They are tied for the SoCon lead with five goals each. Austmann is third in the SoCon in points per game (1.50) while Collomb is fourth (1.33), and Garcia is seventh (1.25).

Collomb scored the winning goal with 1:11 remaining in overtime for UNCG this past Saturday against Belmont. Austmann converted a penalty kick goal with two seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime.

Wofford dropped a 3-1 decision to Mercer on Saturday. Charlie Harris scored in the 72nd minute for Wofford, which controlled the final 15 minutes. The Terriers have scored three goals in their last two ga,es

The Spartans return home on Saturday, April 3 to host East Tennessee State at 7 p.m.
