Men’s Golf Ready for Conference Tournament in Georgia

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNCG men's golf team will enter the Southern Conference Men's Golf Championship on a trail of success as they head to Greensboro, Georgia for play on April 19 and 20. The tournament will be held at the Reynolds Plantation - Oconee Course.

Despite their experience in the conference tournament, the Spartans will bring four freshmen and one senior to compete. The Spartan freshmen are familiar with picking up the workload this year, even leading the nation in performance among freshmen for a period.

Leading the way is senior Zack Swanson and he will be supported by Symon Balbin, Jack Marcotte, Randall Hudson, and Tommy Lamb.

Lamb is one of six SoCon golfers to win a tournament this season, earning his at the Ross Collegiate Classic.

UNCG has won two straight SoCon tournaments, breaking through for its first win in 2018 after three straight runner-up finishes and adding a second title in 2019.

The tournament tees off with twosomes at 9 a.m. Monday and Tuesday's final round will tee off at 8:30 a.m.
