UNCG and Chattanooga Battle to 0-0 Draw

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – In both teams' opening Southern Conference matchup, UNC Greensboro (UNCG) and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga played to a double overtime scoreless game Friday night at UTC Sports Complex.

How it Happened:
  • UNCG led the first and second periods in shots, as both teams tied in the first overtime and the Mocs saw the only shot in the second frame of overtime.
  • The Spartans earned a corner kick in each of the frames with just two of them resulting in a shot on net.

  • Senior goalkeeper Aiyanah Tyler-Cooper registered six saves, bringing her career total to 314.
  • This moves her up to second all-time in UNCG's record books.
  • Tyler-Cooper recorded her 23rd shutout of her career. She remains third in the record book.
  • UNCG outshot Chattanooga 17-15, as they both registered five corner kicks each.
  • This is the 28th meeting between the two teams, as UNCG leads the series 21-3-4.
