CHARLESTON, S.C. – De'Monte Buckingham scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's basketball team during a 74-69 setback to The Citadel in a Southern Conference contest at McAlister Field House Thursday night.
Keyshaun Langley (13 points) and
Bas Leyte (12 points, eight rebounds) had strong offensive games for the Spartans, who had their two-game winning streak snapped.
Kobe Langley finished with a career-best seven assists.
Kaleb Hunter contributed 11 points for UNCG.
The Citadel got 24 points and 15 rebounds from Hayden Brown. He scored 19 of his points after intermission. Overall, The Citadel, the SoCon's top scoring offense, scored 56 points in the second half to erase UNCG's 33-18 halftime lead.
