GREENSBORO, N.C. –
Veteran UNC Greensboro (UNCG) athletic administrators Kristin Rusboldt and Rob Knox wrote columns representing their professional organizations in the latest issue of the NACDA Administrators magazine that was distributed nationwide to colleges across the country.

Serving as UNCG's Associate AD for Student-Athlete Support Services & Diversity & Intercultural Engagement, Rusboldt serves on the board of N4A as the Division Director of Academic and Learning Services. Her column talked about the critical role that technology is playing in helping student-athletes achieve their full potential and sharing strategies to assist athletic administrators to work more efficiently.

This past summer, Rusboldt was named a recipient of the Professional Excellence Award during the N4A annual convention. Rusboldt also serves on the Southern

Conference's Racial Equity and Justice Task Force committee.

Knox, UNCG's Associate AD for Strategic Communications, represented the Minority Opportunities for Athletic Administration (MOAA) organization. Knox is a MOAA board member and the associate chair of the external relations committee. Knox's piece touched on the different ways MOAA can use its resources to highlight its members and showcase the terrific work they do on their respective campuses.

Prior to being elected to the MOAA Board of Directors, Knox served a five-year term on the CoSIDA Board of Directors, which included a term as the second African American president in the 60-plus year history of the organization during the 2018-19 academic year.

Rusboldt and Knox are also members together of UNCG's SHIELD group.

SHIELD seeks to foster a united voice with the UNCG athletics staff and student-athletes to prioritize cultural diversity in its student-athlete engagement, internal and external functions, and hiring practices. In addition, SHIELD focuses on professional growth through education and the celebration of diversity and inclusion. The group works together to develop programming, brainstorm ideas, and provide opportunities for dialogue.
