GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) volleyball team hits the road for two Southern Conference (SoCon) tests this weekend.
 
The Spartans will travel to Spartanburg, S.C. to challenge Wofford on Sunday, October 2 and then follow that up with The Citadel on Monday, October 3.

LAST TIME OUT

• The Spartans fell to Samford, 3-0, for their second SoCon contest on September 24.
• Elayne Greisbee and Daija Jackson led the Spartans with five kills each.
• Grisbee, Taylor Robertson, ad Ella Voegele each had a service ace.
• Voegele had 11 digs, for her 12^th match of the season with double-digit digs.
• Gabriela McHugh tallied 13 assists, her 15th-straight match this season with double-digit helpers.

TOURNAMENT AWARDS

• At the Spartan-Aggie Tournament (August 26-27), Mya Wood and Gabriela McHugh were named to the All-Tournament Team.
• Following the Tussle in the Triad Tournament (September 2-3), Taylor Robertson and Ella Voegele earned the honors.
• Robertson and Voegele also were named to the All-Tournament Team after the Aggie/Phoenix Volley for Unity Tournament.
• Robertson was most recently named to the Chucktown Throwdown All-Tournament Team.

SOCON PRESEASON POLL
UNCG was voted to finish sixth in the Southern Conference (SoCon) Preseason Coaches' Poll.

• Wofford was voted to take home the 2022 SoCon title in the Preseason Poll.
• Sarah Barham and Emily Hodsdon were voted to the Preseason All-Conference Team.
• Wofford is coming off a 3-2 victory against Furman, but will face Western Carolina on Saturday, before hosting the Spartans.
• Bella Zeman leads the Terriers with 3.24 kills per set.
• Sarah Barham and Millie Loehr are second and third on the team with 2.65 and 2.27 kills per set, respectively.
• Barham is leading the squad and the conference with 1.15 blocks per set.
• Emily Hodson leads the team with 18 service aces.
• Carson Eubanks averages 4.00 digs per set.
• The Terriers are leading the conference in blocks per set (2.25), hitting percentage (0.227), and opponent hitting percentage (0.181)
