GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) volleyball team fell to East Tennessee State University (ETSU) Friday night in Fleming Gym in Southern Conference (SoCon) play, 3-0.
The Buccaneers won the match with set scores of 25-17, 25-12, and 25-19.
The Spartans remained within arm's reach with the Buccaneers in the first set. They tied the frame once and came within one point six times. Following the final one-point deficit, 13-12, ETSU continued on with a 12-5 run to take set one, 25-17.
ETSU's 0.682 hitting percentage outlasted UNCG in the second set. The Buccaneers kicked off the frame with an eight-point lead, 9-1. The Spartans came within six, 13-7, twice, but ETSU's offense did not let up and ended the frame with a 13-point win, 25-12.
The third set was the only one that UNCG saw a lead with the final time being a one-point advantage, 9-8. ETSU scored six-straight points, 14-9, until UNCG came within two, 19-17. The Buccaneers' 6-2 run at the end of the set secured the final set, 25-19, for the win.

- Jocelyn Carter led the Spartans with seven kills.
- Taylor Robertson had two aces.
- Gabriela McHugh tallied 17 assists and 12 digs for her 37th double-double of her career and seventh of the season.
- She also had a game high five blocks.
- Ella Voegele led the match with 14 digs. This was her 15th match this season with double-digit digs.
