GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's basketball team returns home to start its final homestand of the 2021-22 season.
 
The first test for the Spartans is in-state foe Western Carolina. It's the penultimate home and regular-season contest for UNCG. Western Carolina stunned UNCG last year at the Greensboro Coliseum, 82-81.
 
The Spartans are celebrating Student Appreciation Night. UNCG Students attending the game will have an opportunity to win a JBL speaker, navy Yeti cooler, electric scooter, $500 Harris Teeter gift card, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Apple Airpods, along with two concert tickets of your choice.
 
In addition to the prizes, students will witness a meaningful late-season contest that will be played with playoff intensity.
 
Heading into the final weekend of the regular-season, the Spartans are tied for fifth-place with Mercer and Wofford with 8-8 conference records. UNCG is a game behind VMI and Samford, who are both tied for fourth place at 9-7.
