GREENSBORO, N.C.- The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) baseball team fell to the Davidson Wildcats, 9-2, in game two of the three-game series on Saturday afternoon.

Jared Mathewson earned his seventh start on the season. For the second appearance in a row, he went the first two innings without allowing a hit.

Zack Budzik started the sixth inning with a double to left field.
GC Jarman followed suit with a double to right-center to bring Budzik across the plate.

UNCG's last run came in the bottom of the seventh with a leadoff home run from
Ethan McKay, which went over the left-field wall.

Caleb Freeman,
Wesley Buck, and
Zack Mallia did not allow a hit in their appearance on the mound. Freeman pitched 2.1 innings, struck out two, and walked one. Mallia faced three batters in the top of the ninth and struck out one.
