GREENSBORO, N.C.- The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) baseball team dropped the series finale to the Mercer Bears, 20-10, on Saturday afternoon.

The Spartans fell behind fast as the Bears took a 10-0 lead through the first two innings.
Dallas Callahan got the Spartans on the board with a solo shot over the right-field wall.
GC Jarman's triple and an error Mercer allowed McKay and Jarman to cross the plate.

UNCG added three more runs in the bottom of the third.
Hogan Windish scored on a single from Callahan and
Pres Cavenaugh scored on a wild pitch. McKay's single to right-field brought Callahan home.

Mitchell Smith hit a ground-rule double to get in scoring position early in the fifth inning. He was brought home on a sacrifice fly from McKay after advancing on a single from Cavenaugh.

UNCG kept chipping away at the deficit, adding three more runs in the sixth.
Zack Budzik, Windish, and Hardison scored to make it an 18-10 game.

Seven pitchers made an appearance on the mound for UNCG.
Kross Robinson led with three strikeouts in 1.0 innings pitched while
Price King followed with two strikeouts.
Zack Mallia pitched 1.1 innings and did not allow a hit.
