GREENSBORO, N.C.- GC Jarman and
Zack Budzik finished with a combined six hits and nine RBIs in the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) baseball team's dominant 13-1 win over the N.C. A&T Aggies on Tuesday night to snap its seven-game losing streak.
Jarman had a career night, going 3-for-3 with five RBIs. Both were career highs. He got the Spartans on the board in the second inning with a three-run homer over the right-field wall. The home run was the second of his career, his first coming a few weeks ago against Davidson.
Budzik almost hit for the cycle, only missing a double. In his first plate appearance of the night, he hit his second triple of the season. He followed the triple with a two-run home run to give the Spartans a 6-0 lead in the fourth inning. He finished his night with a two-RBI single in the seventh.
SPARTANS INTERVIEWING SPARTANS
Bradley Bott: "Zack and GC had three hits each. They combined for nine of our RBIs. SO tell me, successful night. What did you do?"
Budzik: "I was looking for a good pitch to hit. Shoutout to the boys in front of me for getting on base and giving me the opportunity."
Jarman: "I was going through my approach that we go through everyday with two strikes, staying through the ball and hitting the inside seam and going backside and it worked out for us."
Bott: "Big statement win after a tough weekend against Mercer. How does this help going into conference play this weekend against Samford?"
Budzik: "It's a big confidence boost to come out here and put up that many runs and pitch well and play good defense. So, we'll carry this through the weekend and see what we can do."

FINAL WORDS FROM COACH STARBUCK

We threw some strikes. Offensively, we were able to put some things together and a lot of guys got hits tonight. Everybody swung the bat tonight."
