- The Spartans were outshot 13-11.
- The Seahawks' Madison Henry scored a hat trick and tallied an assist in the win.

How it Happened:
UNCW came out firing, as the Seahawks got off five shots in the first nine minutes of play. After some quick back-and-forth between the two teams, UNCW's Hanna Heaton connected for a shot, which forced a fantastic save from goalkeeper
Abby Buchholz. The ball found its way into the back of the net after some jumbled defending by the Spartans, giving UNCW a 1-0 lead into the second half.
Just two minutes into the second half, the Seahawks extended their lead to two after Henry put the ball back in after taking a corner kick. Her ball sailed to the back right corner from the left side of the 18-yard box.
The Spartans quickly responded as
Gabi Santora cut off a pass intended for UNCW and sent a through ball to Morton who lifted it up and under the crossbar at 55:00, cutting the deficit to 2-1. The Seahawks would go on to net three more goals coming in the 65th, 83rd, and 84th minutes of the game to end with the secure a 5-1 UNCW win.
