GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) volleyball team hits the road for the first time this season as they travel east to compete in the Aggie/Phoenix Volley for Unity this Friday, September 8 and Saturday, September 9.
Elon and N.C. A&T have partnered to bring awareness to diversity and equity within their local communities. This weekend's Volley for Unity tournament is to bring awareness and support for the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Alamance County. - The Spartans defeated Queens University of Charlotte, 3-1, Tuesday night at Fleming Gym.
- This was the seventh-straight match at home for the Spartans.
- Junior Taylor Robertson paced UNCG with her second-career double-double, tallying a career-best 17 kills and 10 digs.
- Senior Gabriela McHugh led the match with a season-high 44 assists and eight digs.
- Daija Jackson and Mya Wood had 10 kills each
- Avery Sziksai had a career-best 18 digs, while Ella Voegele tallied 10 digs.

- Florida A&M enters the tournament with an 0-7 record after competing in the Kansas State Tournament and FAMU/FSU Tournament to begin the season.
- The Rattlers were picked to finish first in the SWAC Preseason Poll.Â
- A&M leads the Southwestern Conference in blocks (51.0) and is No. 2 in the league in kills (274).Â
- Dominique Washington ranks No. 3 in the SWAC in kills (77). Nina Sharpton's 204 assists lead the SWAC.

- Kamren Harper tops the Eagles with 2.54 kills per set, while Tori Wilson and Emmie Modlin are chipping in 2.00 and 1.46 kills per set, respectively.
- Vanila Pulu-Suliafu has been NCCU's primary setter this season contributing 6.54 assists per set.
- Libero Loren Johnson is providing team-best averages of 4.00 digs and 0.46 aces per set.
SCOUTING ELON
- Elon was selected to finish second in the 2022 CAA Preseason Poll and received three first-place votes.
- The Phoenix are sitting 1-6 overall, with its lone win a 3-1 victory over VCU.
- For the second straight year, Leah Daniel was named as the CAA Preseason Player of the Year. The Zionsville, Ind. native earned 2021 All-CAA First Team honors after ranking first in the CAA in kills (391), second in kills per set (3.87) and second in points per set (4.23) last season.
- Daniel is leading the team with 3.38 kills per set.
- Haylie Clark was selected to the Preseason All-CAA Team. The Saint Cloud, Fla. native was named the 2021 CAA Setter of the Year and after finishing second in the league last season in assists (955) and third in assists per set (9.46).
- Clark is leading the team with 6.58 assists per set.
- Jenn Krzeminski was tabbed as an honorable mention to the Preseason All-CAA Team. The Furlong, Pa. native led the conference in hitting percentage (.389) and the team in blocks (114) last season.
- Lily Emlong is leading the Phoenix with 0.93 blocks per set.
- UNCG leads the all-time series against Elon 36-21.
