CHATTANOOGA, TENN. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) volleyball team dropped a straight set match (17-25, 23-25, 13-25) at Chattanooga on Thursday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Mocs notched a 3-0 run to start the match and never allowed the Spartans to lead in set one. A final kill from Chattanooga's Gylian Finch gave the home team the first game, 25-17.

Aylin Baran gave the Spartans its first lead of the day by starting off the second set with a service ace. The Mocs responded with a 3-1 run to take the lead and hold it for the remainder of game two. However, the Spartans were able to come back late in the set to tie the game (21-21) thanks to kills from Baran and
Daija Jackson, along with a block from
America Anderson and Jackson. The Mocs would respond with a 4-2 run to claim the second game, 25-23.

Chattanooga continued its momentum into the third set by starting things off with a 7-0 run to never allow UNCG to lead again in the match. One last kill from the Mocs' Morgan Romano gave the team the final set, 25-13.

The Spartans will return home to take on ETSU on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 5 p.m. in Fleming Gymnasium. Saturday's game will be "Daddy Daughter Day", where the team will recognize all fathers and daughters in celebration and fun activities. UNCG volleyball players will also sign postgame autographs for fans after the game.Â
