HUNTINGTON, W.VA.– The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's basketball team dropped a non-conference road match to Sun Belt Conference foe Marshall, 72-65, in Cam Henderson Center on Saturday night.
Keyshaun Langley tallied a game-high 26 points, while twin brother
Kobe Langley was second in the game with 20 points.
Tim Ceaser notched a game-high 11 rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Langley's got the Spartans out to an 11-2 advantage in the first four minutes of action, where Keyshaun had two three pointers and Kobe had five points. UNCG kept the lead for the remainder of the half and saw its first double-figure advantage at 8:53 following jumpers from
Domas Kauzonas and
Kobe Langley, 22-12. The Spartans climbed to a 12-point lead twice during the half, before Marshall went on a 12-3 run cutting the deficit to two, 34-32, heading into halftime.
Keyshaun hit his fourth jumper of the game at 19:01 for a four-point lead, 36-32, but the Thundering Herd saw back-to-back three pointers to claim its first lead of the game, 38-36. Marshall went on a 9-2 run following the first tied score of the game to earn a seven-point advantage, 48-41. UNCG's 14-4 run put the Spartans back on top, 55-52. The Thundering Herd capitalized on their 43.4-percent shooting from field goal range and 75.0-percent shooting from the charity stripe to stay on top for the remaining six and a half minutes to claim a 72-65 victory.

- Keyshaun's 26 points matches his season-high, which he had against Vanderbilt on November 14.
