COLUMBUS, OHIO – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) baseball team dropped both games in a doubleheader against Ohio State on Saturday afternoon at Bill Davis Stadium.
The Buckeyes won game one, 6-1, and game two, 5-1, in seven innings.
Dallas Callahan hit his 100
th career hit as a Spartan during game one.
GC Jarman was the only Spartan to have a multi-hit day going 2-for-5 in the first game.
Game 1
How it Happened
Ohio State took the lead in the bottom of the second after scoring two runs off two hits, 2-0.
UNCG put its only run on the board in the top of the third after
GC Jarman hit a double down the left field line that brought
Zack Budzik home. This cut the deficit to one, 2-1. The Buckeyes' Cole Andrews homered in the bottom of the fourth to regain a two-run lead, 3-1.
A pitcher's duel occurred from the fifth to the bottom of the eighth before the Buckeyes had a two-run homer from Henry Kaczmar and a solo home run by Mithcell Okuley extending their advantage to five, 6-1.
The Spartans had three double plays bringing their total to 53 on the season.

How It Happened
The Buckeyes had a solo home run courtesy of Okuley in the bottom of the second to start the scoring, 1-0.
With
GC Jarman on second base and
Mitchell Smith on first,
Zack Budzik hit a RBI double to left field, evening the score, 1-1.
Ohio State had another home run in the bottom of the fifth that added two runs, which made its advantage two, 3-1.
In the bottom of the sixth, the Buckeyes' Marcus Ernst was hit by a pitch to lead off and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Matthew Graveline singled to center field, adding a run to the board, 4-1. The Spartans' defense retired two batters, before Nick Erwin hit a RBI single to right field or a four-run victory, 5-1.
