GREENSBORO, Ga. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team moved up one position to stand in third place after round two of The 2024 Southern Conference (SoCon) Championship at Reynolds Plantation on Monday.
TEAM
- UNCG carded a five-under-par (283) in the second round for a total score of three-under-par (573) after two rounds.
- ETSU is leading the tournament with a 22-under-par (554).
- Chattanooga is sitting in second place with an 18-under-par (558).
- The Spartans are pacing Furman, Wofford, Mercer, Western Carolina and Samford, respectively.
INDIVIDUAL
- Symon Balbin continues to pace the Spartans in a tie for seventh place after carding a one-under-par (71) in round two.
- Balbin is leading all 40 players on the field with 27 pars.
- Randall Hudson moved up six positions to follow right in behind Balbin in a tie for ninth place. Hudson notched a three-under-par (69) in round two for a two-under-par (142) in the first two rounds.
- Kelvin Hernandez moved up a whopping 13 positions to sit in 14th place after recording a four-under-par (68) on Monday.
- Noah Connor is in a tie for 18th place with a three-over-par (147) after notching a three-over-par (75) in the second round.
- Jack Marcotte rounded out the scorecard for the Spartans on Monday with a four-over-par (78) for 35th place.

The final round of the SoCon Championships will take place tomorrow, April 23. UNCG will be paired with Mercer and will tee off at 8:00 a.m.
