GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) volleyball team concluded The Southern Conference (SoCon) regular season on Saturday night by taking down the Wofford Terriers in a straight-set victory at Bodford Arena in Greensboro, North Carolina.
 
McKenna Timmerman, Megan Carron, Robin Rosser and Elenoa Sing along with student manager Braylan Crouch were recognized prior to Saturday's match in a special Senior Day ceremony for their hard work and dedication to the UNCG volleyball program.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1 – The first set went back-and-forth in the early goings until the Spartans strung together seven consecutive points for an 11-4 advantage. UNCG held the lead the rest of the way. A set-point kill from Rosser granted the Spartans with set one, 25-14.

Set 2 – The Spartans got on the board first in the second frame with back-to-back points, but Wofford quickly countered with four straight points for a 4-2 lead. The remainder of the set was a point-for-point duel coming down to the wire. With UNCG holding a 24-22 lead, Wofford posted two consecutive points to tie things at 24-24. However, a service error, following an attack error from the Terriers allowed UNCG to secure the second set in overtime, 26-24.

Set 3 – The Spartans came out of the huddle to absolutely dominate the final set, getting out to an early 4-0 advantage. UNCG utilized a .385 hitting percentage in the third frame to never allow the visiting team to regain a lead in the contest. In Senior Day fashion, Timmerman and Rosser posted the final two kills of the match to secure the set, 25-15, for the 3-0 sweep.  

BY THE NUMBERS

• Sweet registered her 21st career double-double and 16th of the season after leading the match with 16 digs and adding 11 kills.
• Timmerman matched Sweet with 11 kills on the day.
• Gabby Seeds paced the contest with 28 assists.
• Chloe Nussbaum added 15 digs.
• Rosser and Connore' Siler-Nixon collected three blocks apiece.
