GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) softball team and Head Coach Janelle Breneman have signed six to the 2026-27 roster.
 
There are four from North Carolina and one from Virginia and Tennessee. 
 

Haylee Ellis
Hometown: Concord, North Carolina
High School: Northwest Cabarrus High School
Position: Pitcher/Utility
From Coach: "Haylee, a North Carolina native, is a pitcher who also has the ability to add power to our lineup. She brings a strong presence and a competitive fire in the circle and has an unwavering work ethic and drive to be great. We are thrilled to welcome Haylee and her family to the Blue & Gold!"



Landri Nelson
Hometown: Old Fort, Tennessee
High School: Cleveland High School
Position: Middle Infielder
From Coach: "Landri is a quick and athletic middle infielder who covers a lot of ground with smooth hands and a fast release. She swings from the left side with true gap-to-gap power and is an intuitive base runner. Landri will be a great addition to our lineup. We're thrilled to welcome Landri and her family to the Blue & Gold!"



Karrie Obie
Hometown: Roxboro, North Carolina
High School: Roxboro Community School
Position: 1st Base
From Coach: "Karrie is a powerful lefty hitter who brings strength and confidence every time she steps into the box. Her presence at the plate makes her a constant threat and an exciting addition to our offense. Her reach and ability to receive at first base will be an asset. We are excited about welcoming Karrie and her family to the Blue & Gold softball family."



Mackenzie Moore
Hometown: Pinetops, North Carolina
High School: SouthWest Edgecombe High School
Position: Catcher/Utility
From Coach: "Mackenzie is a strong presence behind the plate who leads with confidence. She's athletic, versatile and has the ability to play multiple positions. With a strong arm and quick release, she is ready to make an impact for the Blue & Gold. Mackenzie has gap-to-gap power and will fit in well to our aggressive offense. We're excited to welcome Mackenzie and the Moore family to UNCG!"



Emma Sartin
Hometown: Coeburn, Virginia
High School: Eastside High School
Position: Pitcher/Utility
From Coach: "Emma is an athletic, hitting pitcher with a very high ceiling. Her ability to spin the ball and change speeds allows her to get swings and misses. This, combined with her work ethic and competitiveness gives her an incredible upside for us in the circle and at the plate. We couldn't be more excited to welcome Emma and her family to the Spartan family."




Baylee Tilley
Hometown: King, North Carolina
High School: West Stokes High School
Position: Outfielder
From Coach: "Baylee is a relentless outfielder with no limits to her game. She gets great reads off the bat, makes tough plays look easy, and has the ability to change the direction of a game. Offensively, she swings from the right side with gap power and has the ability to drive in runs. We're excited to welcome Baylee and her family to the Spartan family!"
