SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's basketball dropped a 61-59 contest with the Wofford Terriers in The Southern Conference (SoCon) action on Saturday afternoon in Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium.

Tasia Johnson paced the Spartans in double-figure scoring with 17 and 14 points, respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
A layup from
Rylan Moffitt on the first possession of the contest put the Spartans on board first, 2-0, at 9:39. Wofford responded with two-straight layups for its first lead of the game, 4-2, at 8:23. However, a layup from
Makiah Asidanya followed by a jumper from
Jeni Levine allowed the Spartans to regain the lead at 6:25, 6-4. UNCG maintained the advantage until the final seconds of the first frame when Wofford notched back-to-back three-pointers for a 13-12 lead at the break.
After an over two-minute scoring draught coming out of the huddle, Lee picked up a foul from behind the arc, going 3-for-3 at the charity stripe.

Wofford's Courtney Swider got the final bucket for the Terriers to hold the one-point lead at the end of the stanza, 38-37.
The fourth frame was a point-for-point duel, coming down to the wire. After two-straight three-pointers from Wofford, a three-point play from Lee at 4:49 propelled an 8-2 run to make it a one-point game at 3:23, 56-55. Wofford's Maddie Heiss responded with her own three-point play at 2:09 to make it 59-55 Wofford.
