GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team is set to compete in the seventh annual Blessings Collegiate Invitational from Oct. 3-Oct. 5 at Blessings Golf Club in Blessings, Arkansas.

THE FORMAT
The nine teams will compete in three total rounds, with one round on each day Saturday through Monday. UNCG will be paired with North Texas and MTSU golfers for round one beginning at 9:35 a.m.

SPARTANS LAST SEASON
- UNCG finished in fourth place at The 2026 Southern Conference (SoCon) Championships behind a nine-over-par (861) with round scores of 289-290-282.
- The Spartans carded their best finish of the 2025-26 season at the Dorado Beach Collegiate, notching third place with a three-under-par (285).
- UNCG recorded six top-10 finishes last year.
- Kelvin Hernandez returns for his senior season after earning the automatic bid into the 2026 NCAA Regionals after securing first place in the 2026 SoCon Championships.
- Hernandez fired off rounds of 67-72-65, setting a new course record in the final round.
- The Caguas, Puerto Rico, native's appearance in the NCAA Winston-Salem Regional marked the 10th time in the UNCG Division I era that the Spartans have made an NCAA Regionals appearance as either a team or individual.
- In addition, it was the second time in his collegiate career competing at the NCAA Regionals.
LAST TIME OUT
- UNCG claimed the team title at the 16th Annual Rod Myers Invitational, claiming its second-straight team title in as many tournaments this season.
- The Spartans placed first out of 13 teams at the two-day, two-round invitational, posting a 20-under-par (556) performance.
- The Blue & Gold finished ahead of SoCon foes Furman, who placed tied for seventh and was two-under-par (579) and Wofford who sat tied for 10th with its three-over-par (579).
- Second place UNCW finished five strokes behind the Spartans with a 15-under-par (561) performance.
- Hernandez had a two-under-par (70) first round performance and then followed that with a five-under-par (67) to move up seven spots and finish as the runner up.
- Jake Lewis fired rounds of 69-69 for a six-under-par (138), tying for third out of 81 competitors.
- B.J. Boyce tied for 14th place with his rounds of 68-73 totaling three-under-par (141).
