Men’s Golf in Third Through Two Rounds at Dorado Beach Collegiate

DORADO, PUERTO RICO – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team is in third place through the second of three rounds in the Dorado Beach Collegiate on Monday at TPC Dorado Beach.

TEAM
  • UNCG stands in third place on the 15-team leaderboard after recording rounds of 289-286 so far in the three-round tournament.
  • Stetson is pacing the tournament with a seven-under-par (569).
  • Southern Mississippi is in second place with a two-round score of three-under-par (573).
  • Stetson, Southern Mississippi and UNCG are the only three teams that are still under-par overall in the first two rounds.
  • The Spartans are currently second in the field with a 4.07 average on par four holes.
  • UNCG is third overall with 115 total pars across the two rounds.
INDIVIDUAL
  • Jake Lewis is pacing the Spartans after moving up 13 positions to stand tied for fourth with a two-under-par (142). The sophomore carded a three-under-par (69) on Monday after posting a two-over-par (73) on Sunday.
  • B.J. Boyce follows closely behind to be tied for seventh overall with a one-under-par (143).
  • Kelvin Hernandez made the biggest jump for the Spartans in the second round, moving up 15 spots with a two-under-par (70). He posted a two-over-par (74) in the opening round to currently sit with an even-par (144).
  • Liam Percy is tied for 23rd place with back-to-back one-over-par (73) rounds.
  • Keenan Royalty comes in tied for 45th place with rounds of 73-77.
  • Dax Isbell and Will Guidry are tied for 54th place with a current overall score of eight-over-par (152).
  • Cole Isbell rounds out the scorecard for the Spartans, sitting tied for 74th place with a 12-over-par (156).
  • Matthis Lefevre of Stetson is pacing the 93-player leaderboard with a four-under-par (140).
