CARROLLTON, TEXAS – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team concluded the opening day in the Maridoe Collegiate with the first and second rounds on Monday at Maridoe Golf Course, hosted by North Texas.
TEAM
- The Spartans are tied for 11th place with Louisiana Tech after shooting a 42-over-par (618) in the first two rounds.
- UNCG recorded rounds of 302-316 on Monday as the squad sits ahead of Boston College on the 13-team leaderboard.
- Oklahoma State is pacing the field with an even-par (576) through two rounds.
- The Spartans are sixth in the field with 105 total pars and tied for 10th with a 4.35 average one par four holes.
INDIVIDUAL
- Dax Isbell is pacing the Spartans and tied for 29th place with back-to-back rounds of four-over-par (76) on Monday. Isbell is tied for fourth in the tournament with 25 total pars in the first two rounds.
- Kelvin Hernandez follows closely behind to sit tied for 36th place with rounds of 76-78. He is tied for second in the field with a 2.88 average on par three holes.
- Jake Lewis sits tied for 40th with an 11-over-par (155) behind rounds of 74-81.
- B.J. Boyce is tied for 68th place with round scores of 76-86.
- Keenan Royalty rounds out the scorecard for the Spartans to be in a tie for 71st place with rounds of 82-81.
- Ethan Fang of Oklahoma State is pacing the 75-player leaderboard with a four-under-par (140) score through two rounds.
