SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Jacob Dilley of the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) baseball team has been named The Southern Conference (SoCon) Player of the Week for the first time of his career, as announced by the league office Monday. This is the first SoCon Player of the Week nod for Dilley and first for the program since Caleb Cozart won the honor in 2024.
The Boone, North Carolina, native went 4-for-7 with one double, two home runs and five RBIs against Virginia Tech this past weekend as UNCG split the series. His home run in game one helped UNCG break the single game program record for home runs with six as the Spartans took down the Hokies, 18-13.
Dilley has been one of the best hitters for UNCG this season, leading the team in home runs with 10 and second in RBIs and hits with 38 and 58, respectively.
