GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team and Head Coach
Ashley Leonard have announced the schedule for the 2026-27 season.
"We are excited once again to challenge our team after another successful season," said Leonard. "Our schedule will give our team exposure to some of the top teams in the country throughout the year. With a young team, the experience they gain will be so valuable by the time our championship season gets here."
UNCG finished in third at The 2026 Southern Conference (SoCon) Championships, for the best conference tournament finish since 2013. The Spartans notched a 46-over-par (910) after posting rounds of 299-310-301. In addition, UNCG alum
Julia Baeumken's shared fifth place finish was the best since 2013 with a seven-over-par (223) after carding rounds of 74-78-71.
Among the Spartan returners, includes
Chanelle Mwangi, who was named to the SoCon All-Freshman Team and to the All-SoCon Team after a stellar 2025-26 season. The Nairobi, Kenya, native notched the fourth lowest stroke average in the SoCon last year with a 73.19.
The Spartans carded their best finish of the 2025-26 season hosting the UNCG Collegiate from Oct. 20-21, taking home first place with a 24-over-par (885) behind round scores of 298-293-294.

- The Spartans will compete in 10 regular season tournaments, including five in the fall and five in the spring.
- Across the regular season, the Spartans will take on three tournaments each in North Carolina and South Carolina, two in Georgia and one each in Florida and Puerto Rico.
- UNCG will begin the 2026-27 season at the Tiger Classic on Aug. 24 at Walker Course in Clemson, South Carolina.
- The Spartans will host two tournaments during the year. First, the Blue & Gold will host the UNCG Collegiate from Oct. 19-20 at Forest Oaks in Greensboro, North Carolina, to close out the fall slate.
- UNCG will then begin the spring schedule by hosting the Treasure Coast Invitational from Feb. 7-9 at GlynLea Country Club in Port St. Lucia, Florida.
- The regular season will be concluded in Greenville, North Carolina, with the Ironwood Invitational from April 4-6.
- The 2027 SoCon Championships will be held from April 19-21 at Columbia Country Club in Columbia, South Carolina.
- The NCAA Regionals will consist of six possible locations, with the highest seeds hosting from May 10-12.
- The 2027 NCAA Championships will be held in Carlsbad, California, at the Omni La Costa Resort from May 21-26.
