The Duke Blue Devils men's soccer team defeated UNC Greensboro, 2-1, in the first game of the Big Four Classic. With the win Duke improved to 10-4-1 on the season. While, UNC Greensboro fell to 8-7-0.

UNC Greensboro's Chris Goos scored the game's first goal off a Cliff Patterson assist just over a minute and a half into the match.

Duke tied the match at 1-1 when Owoicho Adogwa scored after UNC Greensboro goalkeeper Jay Benefield slipped about ten yards outside the penalty box in the 16th minute.

Duke took a 2-1 lead when Adogwa scored his second goal of the match off a Jordan Cila assist in the 34th minute.

The Spartans will take on N.C. State on Sunday at noon.
