RALEIGH, N.C. – UNCG battled NC State to a scoreless tie in a men's soccer exhibition match, Tuesday at Dail Soccer Stadium. The teams did not play into overtime.

The Spartans (7) and Wolfpack (12) combined for 19 total shots, with nine coming on goal. Hakan Ilhan and Oddur Gudmundsson led UNCG with three shots apiece, while Nazmi Albadawi paced NC State with four shots.

UNCG goalkeepers Peyton Ford and Davis Griffin each played 45 minutes in goal. Ford faced six shots and made one save, while Griffin made three saves on six shots.

NC State was whistled for 16 fouls to 13 for the Spartans. The Wolfpack had three corner kicks, and UNCG recorded two.

The Spartans play their second and final exhibition game when they host UNC Pembroke, 7 p.m., Saturday at UNCG Soccer Stadium.
