GREENSBORO, N.C.—UNCG men's soccer team returns to action when they visit Navy, 7 p.m., Saturday, at Glenn Warner Soccer Facility in Annapolis, Md.

The Spartans (2-2-0) are looking to rebound after suffering a 1-0 loss at then-No. 17 Charlotte last Sunday. After a scoreless first half the 49ers scored the game's only goal in the 78th minute. Junior goalkeeper Peyton Ford stopped seven shots but UNCG's offense couldn't find the back of the net.

Junior forward Hakan Ilhan continues to lead the Spartans offensively with four goals and an assist for a team-high nine points. Ilhan ranks second in the Southern Conference in both goals and points. Ford carries a 1.02 goals-against average into the match.

Navy, led by third-year head coach Dave Brandt, is off to a 1-3-2 start after suffering a 5-3 home loss to Delaware on Wednesday. The Midshipmen, members of the Patriot League, have scored 10 goals in their six matches, with three different players scoring two each. Goalkeeper Aaron Dupere owns a 2.14 goals-against average.

Following Saturday's match the Spartans visit William & Mary (Sept. 20) before returning home for a homecoming clash with Gardner-Webb on Saturday, Sept. 24.

•    The Spartans are currently ranked sixth in the NSCAA South Region poll
•    Head coach Justin Maullin is 14-8-4 (.615) in his second season with the Spartans
•    UNCG is 3-0-0 all-time against Navy, including a 1-0 win on Sept. 18, 2010 in Greensboro
•    The Spartans are looking to avoid consecutive losses for the first time since losing three straight between Sept. 25 and Oct. 2, 2010
•    This is just the second road match of the season for UNCG after the Sept. 5th match at Clemson was cancelled. It is, however, the second match of three straight away from UNCG Soccer Stadium.
•    UNCG returns home to host Gardner-Webb on Sept. 24th, the first of three straight home matches for the Spartans
