GREENSBORO, N.C. –UNC Greensboro women's soccer plays at No. 3 seed South Carolina in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Friday at 6 p.m. at Stone Stadium in Columbia, S.C. The winner will play either Penn State or Bowling Green next Friday in the second round.

All-Time Series Vs. South Carolina
- Owns a 1-4-0 record against South Carolina.
- The Gamecocks took the only matchup in the NCAA Tournament 2-0 in 2010 in the first round in Charlottesville, Va.

- Sports a 15-4-1 overall record and went 7-2-0 in the SoCon.
- Outscoring opponents 49-18, including 34-10 against conference members.
- Leads the SoCon in goals per game (2.45) and assists per game (2.30) and are second in goals against average (0.89).
- Have the SoCon Player of the Year, Cienna Rideout, and Freshmen of the Year, Nicole Souply. Emily Jensen, Heida Ragney Vidarsdottir and Marissa Ferrantino joined Rideout as first-team all-conference players when the league announced season awards last week. Aiyanah Tyler-Cooper and Grace Kennedy were selected to the second-team, and Gracie Timbario and Kayla Campbell along with Souply earned all-freshman honors.
- Rideout leads the team in both goals (14) and points (36), which are the most points by a Spartan since Chesney White had 37 in 2014. After missing the opening weekend, Rideout scored in four-straight games, all game-winners. She leads the league in goals (0.78), game-winning goals (0.28) and points per game (2.00) and is second in assists per game (0.44).
- Souply is next in scoring with eight goals and 18 points, tying for fourth in goals in the league and also fifth in points.
- Goalkeeper Aiyanah Tyler-Cooper has played all but 57 minutes this year and ranks second in the league in save percentage (.828) along with 82 saves.

- Defeated No. 5 seed Furman in the SoCon Championship Game last Sunday.
- The SoCon Tournament Championship is the ninth in program history and second under Coll. The Spartans are the only current SoCon member to win the conference tournament in back-to-back years, having also done so in 2000-01 and 1997-98. UNCG also increased its SoCon-high Tournament Championships' advantage over Furman (six).
- Ragney Vidarsdottir, who assisted on UNCG's first goal in the game, was named the SoCon Tournament Most Outstanding Player. Jensen, Grace Regal and Rideout joined Vidarsdottir on the All-SoCon Tournament Team.
- Jensen scored the first goal off a free kick by Ragney Vidarsdottir in the 31st minute.
- Regal scored her third-straight game-winning goal in the 40th minute off a pass by Rideout.

- Two-time SEC Defender of the Year junior Grace Fisk has helped the Gamecocks post a SEC-high nine shutouts and not allow more than five shots on goal in each of the last nine regular season matches.
- Junior goalkeeper Mikayla Krzeczowski, an All-SEC First-Team selection, ranks 18th in the nation in goals against average (0.55) and 21st in shutouts to go along with a .804 save percentage.
